For this project, I was tasked with taking a collection of photos using three different ways to take a photo. The first way was rule of thirds, rule of thirds is a technique that uses the grid of the photo by lining up an object or a person on two lines of the grid that represent a third of the photo. The object or horizon or things of that nature should be on the exact axis. The second technique we used was a diagonal style meaning the photo was split by a diagonal line adding a element of contrast between the two sides. The last technique we used was a triangle style, for this we had to have a object or person(s) resemble a triangle in the photo it didn't need to be a exact triangle but if you looked at it and squinted it should look in the shape of a triangle.
I like how your choice to put some of your pictures in black and white gave the photos more definition and the ones that you did choose to put color in, I felt like they had the right amount to make it rich but, not too overpowering.
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of most of the pictures and how you managed to turn a simple picture of something into one of the categories.
ReplyDeleteI really like the diagonal stairs picture. I think by editing it to be black and white, you created very interesting shadows.
ReplyDeleteI like how each photo is so simple but also so intricate and complex. Especially the one in the storm drain with the leaves. The focus is on the diagonal but there are other parts of the photo as well.
